about Juliet

Color has always been my language. Long before the jewelry, I spent years as a Personal Image Consultant sitting across from women who thought they needed to fit a mold, slowly and carefully helping them understand that what they actually needed was permission to look like themselves. That kind of listening never left me. It simply found a new home at my design table.
The JulRe Designs Studio exists because of what I learned in those conversations. Every gemstone I choose, every design I create, begins with the same question I used to ask my clients: what color makes you feel most like yourself? The color that is trending does not interest me. The color someone told you was yours does not interest me either. The one that makes something shift the moment you put it on is the one we are looking for.
Philadelphia, PA is where the studio lives and where I finally feel at home. After years in the New York area, it was this city, its energy, its flavor, its refusal to be anything other than exactly what it is, that gave me the same permission I had always tried to give those seeking my advice.
Every creation is one of a kind. The stories these pieces carry can only be told once. When a design leaves the studio it belongs entirely to the woman wearing it and it will never be made again.
Running a studio like this is complicated and I would not have it any other way. The women who find their way here deserve someone who takes this as seriously as they take themselves.
Color is my obsession. It is simply how I see the world. It is the first thing I notice, the last thing I let go of and the thread that runs through everything. Some people are drawn to sound or to movement. I have always been drawn to hues and pigments, to the way they shift a mood, hold a memory and show what's true in any given moment.
