Abundance Comes in Its Own Color
Green at its most alive is never only one thing. The mood board for Vivid Green and Beveled Glass holds the entire range of what this color can be, moving from the swirling darkness of malachite pulled from the earth to the impossible shimmer of sequins catching the light, then settling into the pale translucency of sea glass worn smooth by water and the green of an aurora moving across a night sky. Every one of these is green and not one of them is the same green as the others.
What connects them all is the feeling underneath the color. Abundance has a color and this is it, though the word here has nothing to do with accumulation or excess. The abundance in this green belongs to something that is growing and moving and reaching toward more life. This is the color of a teal door with a gold handle and of a wall of beveled glass where the trees show through from the other side. A wall like that is something I have been saving for a home I have not built yet, a bathroom where the morning light comes through it in green. This is the color world that registers as energy.
Vivid Green is the saturated living heart of this story and Malachite carries it completely. Every swirl across its surface is a record of mineral moving through the earth over time, patient and layered and alive with its own geometry. Malachite has been worn as a stone of protection and power across many cultures and many centuries, because the depth of its green has always evoked exactly that kind of strength. This is a green of full saturation and presence.
Beveled Glass is the other side of the same color world, found in the palest and most translucent greens on the board. This is the green of light moving through frosted glass rather than stopping at a surface, the green of sea glass and crystal and the quiet edges of water. Where Vivid Green is abundance at full volume, Beveled Glass is abundance that has settled into clarity and stillness. Prehnite holds this softer green and carries the same underlying energy as Malachite, expressed as calm rather than as force.
Taken together, these two greens tell the complete story of what this color world means to me. They are the vivid and the translucent, the saturated and the clear, abundance expressed as vitality alongside abundance expressed as stillness. Both of them are green and both of them are completely real.
