Can two colors really be made for each other? I think Opal and Moroccan Blue answer that question in a resounding "yes"!
Serene richness is how I describe this color pairing, reminding me simultaneously, of the fluidity of water and the deep, dark night sky. Individually, they are cool freshness and regal richness but together, they are the epitome of chic.

As with many of my Color Craze posts, I've searched for the perfect drink to honor and celebrate my chosen color combination and and found it in this week's selected libation, the Blue Daydream (above). It's a Blue Curacao-based Summertime winner for that early evening cocktail party on the deck or Saturday brunch with friends who appreciate a potent, fruity beverage. You can find the refreshing recipe here.
Shades of Opal and Moroccan Blue are easy to shop for in most wardrobe staples. There are plenty of tops, pants and dresses on the store racks ready for your shopping pleasure. These colors are not as easy to find in accessories, especially footwear. But I've opened a lot of shoe boxes to uncover the 6 best hot weather heels in this blue and green palette to add to your closet now. So make yourself a Blue Daydream cocktail and shop below!

2. SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Women's Fawn Dress Pump

You can depend on this color combo to bring the summertime sizzle. Limelight and Sulphur Spring bring new meaning to brightness! It's eye-catching but never gaudy. Always current and filled with the promise of life at its most vivid.
We've been seeing variations of this color duo in fashion for years. Glowy neon yellow-greens have become a staple in activewear and accessories. I designed these Lemon Tree Earrings using these vibrant shades and will always have this palette somewhere within my jewelry collections. But I'm seeing it pop up more for home interiors lately and I love the trend! I'll admit, I'm not brave enough to incorporate it into my home in a substantial way but I will use it to accent in an area that craves energy. The kitchen below has a proportionate balance that refreshes the senses and doesn't overwhelm. This highly functional room is a natural fit for such "health-conscious" colors.
Bathrooms are unsurprisingly another perfect space for colors that pop. I adore the floor-to-ceiling tiles as a bright focal point. Green and clean!
The color palette is so appealing that I've used it in our company branding and incorporated shades of Limelight and Sulphur Spring into my design studio. The matching Slipper Chairs you see below are a steal right now on Amazon (although not currently available in the color shown, Basil Velvet).

If you're not filled with the audaciousness that the tones of Limelight and Sulphur Spring require, then I've selected 6 fab, fun home decor items that will let you dabble with these high volume shades without a huge, long-lasting commitment. Have fun shopping below!

A sultry brown hue paired with an ethereal peachy-blush tone makes this color duo a seductive match!
Brown can represent steadfastness and simplicity while light blush colors often signify vigor and freshness. We have paired sweet Glazed Ginger with the delicate and graceful Bellini is a yin and yang combo. perfect for classic styles, moods and even flavors.
One of my favorite flavor pairings is ginger and peach. The pungency of ginger actually contrasts with the full fruitiness of peach but for my palate, they're a match made in food nirvana. I like to use this flavor mix for many recipes, but cocktails are my favorite. I'm currently captivated by this Ginger Peach Bellini from Daily Waffle! You will understand my obsession once you try the recipe below.
image above and recipe below: Daily Waffle
- 2 oz. ginger peach syrup
- 4 oz. prosecco (La Marca is slightly sweet and makes for a nice Bellini)
1. Pour 2 oz. of ginger peach syrup into a champagne flute. Top with prosecco. Yep, that's it.
Energy opposites attract with this Color Craze twosome, and what better way to celebrate a strong coupling than with looks that are sure to WOW! I've curated 2 style boards below. The first look is with pieces that can easily work for an evening out with your partner or a daytime wedding. Go forth and SHOP!

2. OUGES Stand Collar Sleeveless Dress - an unbelievable price!
3. Tom Ford Lip Color in Wild Ginger
4. ALLSAINTS Captain Leather Crossbody Bag
5. Enzo Angiolini Addalyn Strappy Sandal
6. Cirque Colors Nail Polish in Met Steps

Blue hues represent openness, serenity and restoration, and what better way to celebrate spring than by giving a refreshing look to your home decor?
Our newest Color Craze duo, Hawaii Ocean and Dazzling Blue mesh the bright blue of the with the deeper, complimentary shade of Dazzling Blue to make a beautiful pairing that is sure to reinvigorate, bring inner peace and stability as we transition from the renewing energy of spring into the slower (and hotter!) summer months.
Blue palettes like this combo transport my mind to the restfulness and tranquility of our beautiful oceans. Our oceans need help now more than ever. For a subtler take, these bathroom tiles featured on Designtra are perfect for when a bath needs to be an escape to more placid waters than those that come from the faucet.

With a gracious nod to Pantone, the Gods of Color and keepers of all things sacred to hues and palettes, I'm striking out on my own and presenting my first commentary on the colors I'm loving for the rest of this Spring and into the Summer season. I must admit, the colors I have selected are already on heavy rotation in my own life but I'm now seeing them on other colorful women too, in their wardrobe, makeup as well as in their home decor. This collection of colors makes a striking fashion statement and ranges from the energetic orange, Bird of Paradise, to the soft-spoken pink, Rose Shadow. Squarely in the middle is the sophisticated Moroccan Blue with the pristine lilac, Orchid and my absolute favorite minty fresh, Opal completing the group. I'm drawn to them, well, because they are all exciting and fresh and yet distinctly independent enough to hold their own without a complementary partner to give them a boost.
I couldn't believe my luck when I discovered the nail polish brand, Cirque Colors a few months back. I started using their vegan, cruelty-free, non-toxic (no formaldehyde!) colors (I live for their pinkish-brown "Fast Fashion" shade) after doing some personal research on cosmetics and first highlighted the brand in my Spectra Yellow and Flame post. The color range for this line is so extensive, that I found a coordinating polish for each of the hues in this palette. Your nails will be so on trend!

I'm a huge proponent of tone-on-tone dressing. I make it a regular practice to put some of my daily outfits together based on one color family not only because it gives a sleek, rich, pulled together look but because it's easy! I'm not proposing that you carry that fashion theory all the way through to matching eyeshadow and lipstick but pairing a great dress like the ones from Nordstrom that I'm featuring in my style board below, with a contrasting pair of shoes and handbag and completing the look with nail polish in the same color family is so, so chic!

Placid Blue and Yellow Pear together make me smile. The pleasant print you see above in these happy colors makes me almost love the idea of wallpaper. (gasp!) But alas, the thought has now been pushed from my decorative consciousness. It says a lot about this color duo if its prettiness invited me to have a brief visit to the mystical land of wall coverings. No offense to those who can appreciate the wonders of latex, vinyl and adhesive. I personally have more of an aesthetic connection to paint, brushes and rollers. Nevertheless, these hues are a perfectly refreshing pairing for any room in your home, no matter how the colors are applied.

Soft. Subtle. Delicate. Dreamy. This color duo gives new meaning to "creamy".
I'm a huge fan of this color combination for the home because, when used with the right amount of balance, together they can bring a calming softness to rooms that may have a bit of edginess too. Yet these two colors don't take away from sparks of pizazz. They provide a soothing complement and a little intrigue of their own.
Pale Peach walls are certainly not a traditional statement and require a subtle hand when it comes to accessorizing but the use of Almond, whether it is with wall trimming, furniture, a picture frame or a lighting fixture will help to create a welcoming room.

If you're not ready to commit to full-on Pale Peach walls with Almond accents, use small home decor items to add subtle touches to your space. Peach and Almond hydrangeas, live or faux, are the perfect touches for Spring (or add Rust colored flowers to the bunch for Fall) in a neutral colored room.

I would be remiss if I talk about colors named Peach and Almond here without offering an inspired taste of the actual fruit and nut combination. Try this Peach and Toasted Almond Ice Cream recipe from Table for Two. It's fabulous! You'll thank me later.

1. of the color between blue and yellow in the spectrum; colored like grass or emeralds.
For me, the color green signifies an abundant life in harmony, and supremely good health - all things that are important for my overall wellbeing. I've carried my adoration of the hue into my business with our company logo in 4 ombre green leaves, each representing a part of the foundation of our organization's core values: a passion for color, a love of design, respect for our community and a commitment to service to others.

One of my self-care rituals is a regular detox day consisting of yoga, meditation, lots of rest and a juice or smoothie cleanse. I feel that giving my mind and digestive system a break is one of the best things I can do to help create balance, replenish my energy and maintain my glow. Lately, I've been whipping up this absolutely delightful, deliciously simple Detox Spinach Green Smoothie that I discovered on the food blog, Vibrant Plate
. Give the recipe below a try the next time you want a healthy treat!
Detox Spinach Green Smoothie
- 2 bananas
- 1 apple
- 1 cup young spinach leaves
- 1 lime (or orange, lemon)
- water as needed (I substitute unsweetened green tea)
- Peel bananas and apple, cut into slices and put into a blender. Wash spinach leaves and add to blender. Squeeze juice of 1 lime (can be replaced with orange or lemon) into the blender.
- Add water or green tea as needed.
- Blend until smooth (I use my trusty Vitamix) and serve.
Of course, my obsession with green wouldn't be a real thing if it didn't continue in my closet. I use the vibrancy of the hue to liven neutral looks - tans, beiges and browns never had a better partner. Colorful accessories, like the handbags I found and love above, are a major way to make a dynamic impact with any outfit and adding almost any shade of green will take your OOTD to bright, exciting levels.
